Stick and Puck is a program for all ages to work on specific skills (i.e. skating, shooting, stick handling, passing). This program provides great one-on-one interaction between parents and their children. You must have helmets, sticks and gloves while on the ice. Carmel ice Skadium does not provide the pucks. Full gear is encouraged.

Private lessons are a one-on-one to up to one-on-four format. It is designed to work with a player on specific needs to help accelerate their progress. Lessons are also a way to target and correct any bad habits that have been formed over time. Video analysis may be used on the player as well. Fundamental skating and edgework is always a primary focus. As a player moves up in skating levels, more difficult skills and drills will be introduced.

STICK –n- PUCK / Hockey Private Coaching RESEVATIONS

  • Please check calendar for schedule.
  • Reservations can be made in-person or by phone. Reservations can be made starting at 6pm the day before the day of the scheduled Stick & Puck / Hockey Private Coaching.
  • Please call to reserve your time at (317) 844 – 8889.
  • Sign up is on a first-come, first-served basis. Players cannot pay or hold spaces for players who are not present.
  • Payment is non-refundable.
  • Once capacity is reached we will not permit additional skaters, including those with a lesson. It is the responsibility of the student to reserve their spot.
  • Wait List Procedure: Space will be held until start time (The day of: If the player is running late and calls before start time, space will be held); No-show spaces will be held until 20 minutes after the start of the session. After 20 minutes, the forfeited spot will be given to skaters waiting in the order that they arrived.
  • Stick & Puck – Price is $12 per participants (goalies pay in full)
  • Stick & Puck – Space on this session is limited to 15 players (No private coaching allowed)
  • Hockey Private Coaching – Price is $15 per participants (goalies pay in full)
  • Hockey Private Coaching – No more than 4 coaches on one session

 

Stick & Puck Rules

  • Session Max –15 skaters
  • All participants must have helmets, sticks and gloves while on the ice. We strongly recommend wearing full equipment.
  • All participants must sign a waiver
  • Participants under the age of 18 require a waiver signed by a parent or guardian
  • All players must provide their own equipment and pucks
  • No contact or checking
  • No games or scrimmages
  • No organized practices
  • All sections of the ice and nets are open to everyone
  • NO Private coaches
  • Check -in for sessions begins 30 minutes before session start time
  • Sign up is on a first-come, first-served basis; players cannot pay or hold spaces for players who are not present
  • $12.00 per person

Hockey Private Coaching Rules

  • PRIVATE LESSON:
    • Private lessons are a one on one to up to one on four format.
    • We will no longer allow private lessons on Stick & Puck.
    • Maximum of 4 coaches on a session.
  • COACHES: Must be on the rink-approved teaching list to be able to teach on these sessions. Please contact the Carmel Ice Skadium if you are wishing to teach.
  • COACHING REQUIREMENT: The following documents are required to be on file with the rink to be able to teach.
    • Coaching membership with USA Hockey
    • Background check
    • Proof of liability insurance
  •  COACHES: must call in an sign up for a spot to teach. (First come base)
  • All participants must have a lesson schedule to sign up.
    • PRIVATE LESSON FEES: Please contact your coach directly for their individual lesson fee.
    • BOOKING YOUR LESSON: Lessons are booked directly with your coach. Please contact your coach for availability.
    • ICE TIME PAYMENT: Ice time fees are paid directly at the front desk. Prices are $15.00 per session. All fees must be paid before taking the ice.
    • All participants when signing up must provide the coaches name they are having a lesson with.
