Snowplow Sam
Snowplow Sam is a four-level introductory ice skating program from Learn to Skate USA, endorsed by US Figure Skating, USA Hockey, and US Speedskating, designed for children ages 3–6 who are new to skating. This program focuses on building a safe, fun, and positive foundation in skating skills, emphasizing agility, balance, coordination, and speed.
Basic Skills
The “basic skills” are the fundamentals of the sport. This eight-level program introduces the fundamental moves: forward skating, backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, turns and mohawks. Upon completion of Basic Skills levels 1 - 8, skaters will have a basic knowledge of the sport, enabling them to advance to more specialized areas of skating.
Free Skate
Each Free Skate level is comprised of a variety of progressive skating skills, transitions, spins and jumps — all of which build on the previous skill, providing skaters a strong foundation of all elements. These levels will be taught in a positive and interactive group format such as a bridge program, circuit classes or as an introductory training program. Instructors will focus on quality and mastery of skills.
Adult Classes
We offer classes for adults of all levels, ages 18 and older.
Come and experience one of our adult classes and learn at your own pace. Our experienced coaches will coach you safely and patiently while you learn the basic skills to come and skate on your own. Our classes also offer higher skating skills for those more advanced.
